Struggling Hainault Bulldogs put in their performance of the season to overturn the Bedford Tigers in their own back yard.
Tries from the usual scorers Darren Pickard, Richy Sinclair, and Euan Irwin were accompanied by touchdowns from Paul Leggot and Jordan Yeates. But the bulldogs refused to give in with the scores close to level with ten minutes to go and a quick penalty and try combination was the fatal blow to the Tigers.
A slow start by both sides which developed into a pretty close encounter. Both sides spent the first ten minutes or so testing the water with each other before the Buldogs took the initiative and opened up a 3 score lead. A 15 minute blitz just before half time saw the Tigers fight their way back though, a signature Richy Sinclair try was the highlight of the Tigers first half.
The second half produced a similar story with both sides remaining fairly close throughout the game before the Bulldogs began to take the initiative. With the Tigers looking tired the visitors took the win in a five minute flurry of scoring.
